my life in photos

With this set of photos, I aimed to show the clothing that led to my passion for fashion. I enlisted the help of my little cousin Allison to help show off the smaller clothes. For every item, I wanted to have it in a setting that went with the type of garment itself or what the different piece meant to me when I was wearing it. I did some photos of a pair of jeans my nana and I sewed fringe onto for frontier days. I chose to photograph this downtime, Cheyenne, because my favorite memories growing up during CFD were waking up early to eat doughnuts and watch the parade. The next item I chose was my tutu from when I did ballet, and I chose to shoot it in a studio. The next item is a dog costume from my second Halloween, and I chose to shoot it at a playground to capture the childhood essence. When I used to do ballet before our big performance, we would practice at the park, where I chose to shoot my first ballet costume. I chose to shoot the Spanish-style dress in an area that would contrast with the colors of the dress. The final outfit from when I was younger I decided to shoot was a pair of embroidered pants and a feminine-style shirt in a more natural-looking area to accentuate the outfit's details. The white dress is very feminine, and I wanted to capture that with the water. I wanted to show the denim detailing of my heels in a more rural area with a ranch-type vibe. The jacket I shot has beautiful detailing in the buttons, and I wanted to emphasize them by having them against something with the same detailing. The last thing I shot was my red bottoms, which contrasted nicely with the emptiness of the road.
